The Relay Race Last Thursday, our class took part in the relay race at the school sports meeting. A relay race needs four runners in one team. Each runner carries a small baton and passes it to the next teammate. When the race began, the first boy ran very fast. He passed the baton to Lily. Lily ran steadily and did not drop it. Then Tom took the baton. The last runner was Anna. She ran as fast as she could. Our classmates stood beside the track and cheered loudly. We did not win the game. But our teacher said we worked well as a team. We were proud of ourselves because we helped each other. Teamwork is important.
