A Mountain Bike Trip in the Countryside [A2]

I planned a mountain bike trip with my cousin last Sunday. Before we left home, we checked our bikes carefully. We looked at the brakes and tyres to make sure everything worked well. We also filled two water bottles and put some energy bars in our small bags. The countryside trail was full of small stones and roots from old trees. It was not like the smooth roads in the city. When we rode uphill, we had to push our bikes for short times because the slope was too steep. We talked about school and laughed while we rested under big trees. On the downhill parts, we did not ride too fast. We knew that sudden turns could be dangerous. We met a few other bike riders on the way. They waved and said hello to us. We finished our ride in the late afternoon. This trip taught me that careful checks and slow, steady riding are important for fun and safe cycling.
