My First Ski Trip to the Snow Resort [A2]

Last winter vacation, I visited a snow resort for skiing with my cousin. Before we started, we rented skis, ski poles and warm waterproof jackets. Our coach gave us simple safety lessons. He said we should keep our distance from other skiers and stop at the side of the trail if we fell. The beginner slope was wide and not very steep. At the beginning, I could not control my speed well. I crashed softly into a pile of snow. It was funny and I was not hurt. After many tries, I learned to slow down by turning my body. We took the ski lift to the top again and again. The snow sparkled under the bright sun. We drank hot chocolate during breaks. Time passed quickly. On the way home, my legs were sore. This trip taught me that new skills take lots of practice, and safety always comes first on the snow.
